Blog EntryCAN'T UPLOAD MUSIC IN MULTIPLY ANYMORE???Jan 11, '08 11:26 PM
for everyone
You can attach around 4-5 files in the BLOG SECTION though

/edit: The system has bugs. Sometimes when I click Post Music, I am redirected to my homepage. And sometimes it works. [FIXED]

BUT THE PROBLEM HERE IS:

WHY THE F IS THE MULTIPLY TEAM KEEPING SILENT ABOUT THIS WHOLE MUSIC THING?! I FOUND THIS OUT BECAUSE OF THE COMMENTS FROM USERS.

What mp did hurting the music industry. Though they say that their service is to share the sensation when listening into one song.

yes i understand that, but there are no notices about it.

there are also people here who use the website to store their files. how am i able to get my files online and transfer them to my computer now?

and there are others who use the music section as their podcast site.

i had a feeling that this music issue is going to be a problem when multiply changed their policy from 20 uploads per month to UNLIMITED. it was abused so much and they had to take action, but not informing everyone about it is not professional, seriously. not all people here are committing copyright violation. if they want to act like internet cops, they might as well kill the video site then. there are lots of uploaded videos here with from youtube and other sites that are copyrighted. oh and take down photos and multiply themes too. some of the pictures on this site are copyrighted. basically wipe out multiply. ktnxbye

I agree! Changing the policy is one thing: not telling people is something else. It is as if Multiply doesn't want to admit it has this music-sharing copyright-violation problem.

I also stored large sound files on my site. Some (not all) of these were radio plays from the '40s and '50s, and were in the public domain (i.e., not copywrite protected). I decided to get my stuff off of multiply then removed (hide) the music application.

There are instructions out there for downloading the hard way. (You can download AnyThing that streams into your computer if you can get the right web-address into a download manager like Flashget.) I think I found them in the notes conversation of a music group - can't remember. Sorry.

Yeah, and the video thing - you are right about that as well. Maybe they feel safer with the video stuff since it mostly is being brought in from Youtube rather than uploaded to multiply from personal computers?

Whatever the reason, I think they want to advertise music and video sharing as a feature to attract people, but then duck the consquences by making these behind-the-scene changes.

i already figured out how to download the music. i think we're thinking about the same method. lol.

actually ive found out that when multiply disabled the music search and some people provided google searches for multiply as a replacement, multiply blocked the sites. they're really doing this quietly. i think they are letting their volunteers spread the news instead. they dont announce anything about the music section changes in their corporate blog. i mean, they said people at muds knew about it, but not everyone is in muds. besides muds is not linked in our inboxes. the multiply blog is. i dont really get the point why they keep mum on this subject.

the method i tried before doesnt work anymore. oh well. no big. just google the music you want to look for. if you cant find it, then go here to multiply and record it yourself as a desperate measure.
